Catlan McCurdy, Principal Attorney

Catlan McCurdy

PRINCIPAL ATTORNEY

I help clients commercialize their ideas. I solve problems, large and small, helping my clients evaluate risks through every twist and turn of a transaction. Together we sort and prioritize issues to make sure the business gets what it needs. I offer up smart, practical solutions in a logical and professional manner.

From negotiating nondisclosure agreements in the early stages of a relationship to navigating an exit from a manufacturer, I have experience in every step of intellectual property and technology transactions. I have incredibly high standards for myself and others, and I always expect the best for my clients.

DIRECTBUSINESS SAVVY

Before founding McCurdy Laud, I worked at some of the best large law firms in the country, including Hogan Lovells, and as a partner in the technology commerce group at Dorsey & Whitney. I also served as in-house counsel at National Public Radio, Inc., focusing on intellectual property and technology transactions. At McCurdy Laud, I offer clients my top experience and talent without the overhead and expense of a large law firm.

When not working, I enjoy reading depressing novels and murder mysteries, cooking sous vide, and running after my three little, but surprisingly destructive, boys.
